Where's the Peace?

Today I've been reading great Scriptures and books on peace. I've been reminded that peace isn't something that we strive for, or even create on our own. Peace has already been made available to us through Christ and it's His Spirit in us that creates an easy flow of peace in our lives. So, what does that connection with Him look like? How does it begin? I found the answer to those questions by sitting with these Scriptures:

I am kept in perfect peace by keeping my mind on Christ. Because my mind is on Him I can trust in Him and He becomes my strength. (Isaiah 26)

I have the same mind of peace that Chris had when He lived on the earth. (Phil. 2)

The peace of Christ rules in my heart. (Col. 3)

God's peace guards my heart and mind. (Phil. 4)

If we ask Jesus to forgive us for sin because it separates us from Him; if we invite Him in our lives through the presence of the Holy Spirit; if we claim (and meditate on) Scriptures like the ones above as our prayers because God has promised them to us, then God's peace in us won't be a struggle. It will flow in and out of us as naturally as our very breath.

How do we bring Scriptures to life within us? There are many beautiful ways to spend time with God through His Word. One of my favorite is to take Scriptures and confess them over my life. For examp
