Waiting & Resting – Jasmine’s Journey of Healing
Miracles can come in an instant. Miracles can take time.
I wish this blog was written about Jasmine’s instantaneous miracle. But it’s not.
This morning during my time with God the Holy Spirit brought two words to my mind – waiting and resting. These are the definitions I found in the dictionary:
Waiting – the action of staying where one is… until something else happens.
Resting – to cease work or movement in order to relax, to recover strength.
I’ve heard preachers say that waiting on God is not a passive activity. It’s the time when we need to hold onto hope and have an attitude of expectancy as we wait on God to move. God has also invited us to rest in Him as we wait and let Him give us new strength. The best way that I have found to wait and rest in this way is by sitting with God’s Word. You may not know where to find Scriptures on healing so I encourage you to go to YouTube and type in “50 Healing Verses – soothing music”. I love to lay in bed either as I wake up or go to sleep and listen to these Scriptures with my headphones. The Holy Spirit is anxious to fill you with strength and expectation as you meditate on the beautiful promises of God.
