The Trust Factor

This morning, like every morning, I started my day by lifting up my heart into God's presence through praise. My younger daughter, Camilia, got our family set up with a Spotify account and it's the perfect place to find and keep your favorite worship songs.

Today I was listening to the song "Lord, I Trust You" by Selah and as I heard the lyrics "Lord You are the life inside the fire" God gave me a powerful picture. I saw the three Hebrew men in the fiery furnace with Jesus (Daniel 3). As that image played out in my head God said, "Jesus was always with them, but no one could see Him until they stepped into the fire." Jesus came to life in the eyes of all who were there when the three Hebrews trusted God enough to step into the fire.

Most of my previous blogs have been about my older daughter's healing. I still believe with all my heart that God is healing her and every day that I don't see the fullness of it in her life I have to choose to trust God and the picture He has put in my heart of her total restoration. I want to focus my future blogs on my daily decision to trust God even when the world around me doesn't make sense and the vision He's given me doesn't line up with the reality of life around me.
