Never Give Up! – Jasmine’s Journey of Healing

Last week I asked Jasmine if she had something that she wanted to share on my blog to help encourage others who are suffering.  She reminded me of the inspirational quotes she has on her wall over her bed.  She said that she has focused on them many times over the years when she needed to find strength to get through another day.

I’ve typed some of them below:

Never Give up.

Remember to breathe.

Let’s start again.

Only do what your heart tells you.

It’s not where you take things from – it’s where you take them to.

Life is like riding a bicycle.  To keep your balance you must keep moving.

A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.

Because she loves me, says the Lord,  I will rescue her; I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name.  Psalm 91:14

I’ve seen the days that Jasmine has fought to not give up and I’ve also lived with her through the times when she was losing the battle and had nothing left to fight with.  It is heart wrenching to watch someone you love filled with total despair because they see no hope or joy in their future.  All they see is endless days of physical and/or emotional pain.

Tonight, as I am in a place of worship and awe before God, the thing that He is speaking to my heart is, “Don’t give up.  Keep fighting.”  I am more determined than ever to press into His heart of love for all who seek Him.  Whether I am ministering through writing, speaking, or praying, I believe that He is calling me to listen for His whisper of hope and healing so that I can share it with a world that is in despair.  He is here.  He is listening.  He is our healer.

I delight to fulfill your word, my God, for your living words are written upon the pages of my heart.

Psalm 40:8 (Passion Translation)

How do we bring Scriptures to life within us? There are many beautiful ways to spend time with God through His Word. One of my favorite is to take Scriptures and confess them over my life. For examp
