More Answers – Jasmine’s Journey of Healing
The doctor who is continuing Jasmine’s treatments here in Maryland called her today to give her the results of her blood work. They found out that on top of the lyme, Jasmine has been dealing with mono. She was really sick at Christmas time last year and we thought it was the flu. The doctor thinks that it was her first mono flare up. That helps explain the severe exhaustion she’s been dealing with. The good news is that the IV Vitamin C treatments she’s been taking for lyme will also help her body fight the mono. She also tested off the charts for sensitivity to dairy and gluten. Now she has to be very careful to avoid those types of food.
I am grateful that God has helped us find the right care and treatment for Jasmine. It’s confirmation of what Solomon wrote in Proverbs 3:6 “In all my actions I will acknowledge You, and You will direct my paths.” (The Prayer Bible) The key is to keep moving forward in our faith even while waiting for the answers.
This morning I found beautiful verses in the book of Psalm as I was reading the 37th chapter in the Passion Version.
“Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you…
So don’t be impatient for the Lord to act; keep moving forward steadily in his ways, and he will exalt you at the right time. And when he does you will possess every promise.”
The best way to practice “quieting our hearts” is to find a place to sit and read His promises out loud. As we feel the presence of the Holy Spirit speaking God’s Word into our hearts it will help to keep hope alive as we move steadily forward. And those steps forward lead us to the moments when we can possess His promises. And words cannot describe what it is like to receive and live out the promises of God!
