Lost in Worship – Jasmine’s Journey of Healing

I don’t believe you can separate healing and worship. Worship brings healing and healing leads to worship. Healing involves God’s presence and it’s not possible to be in His presence without being overcome with worship.

God led me to this song yesterday and every time I listen to it I am overcome more and more with the beautiful presence of God. I wasn’t sure if I should include some of the lyrics because you have to watch it on YouTube to experience the full power of the song. I want to encourage you to watch it and pay attention to the lyrics on the screen while you listen. This song explains why I believe that miracles happen when we speak God’s Word.

“So Will I” by Amanda Cook, Bethel Church

And as You speak A hundred billion galaxies are born In the vapor of Your breath the planets form… If creation sings Your praises so will I… God of Your promise You don’t speak in vain No syllable empty or void For once You have spoken All nature and science Follow the sound of Your voice… If creation still obeys You so will I

As I am listening to this song again I am overcome with gratitude to God because of a breakthrough Jasmine had this morning. Due to her chronic pain it’s really hard for her to get out of the bed in the morning. I am being very sensitive to how she is feeling while we are here, asking her what she feels she can do throughout the day. We’ve been to the hotel pool a couple of times later in the day when she can handle some light physical exercise. This morning I was overwhelmed with joy when she got up and told me that before going to her first treatment at the clinic she wanted to go to the pool to swim. Last week she would have been physically unable to do that. I’m also seeing a change in her outlook. I see a lightness and happiness that I haven’t seen for a long time. “God, I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done. Every part designed in a work of art called love.” (“So Will I” lyrics)

How do we bring Scriptures to life within us? There are many beautiful ways to spend time with God through His Word. One of my favorite is to take Scriptures and confess them over my life. For examp
