Let's Start at the Beginning - Jasmine's Journey of Healing

This morning I am at a loss for words. The Holy Spirit is revealing deep and powerful things to my heart. It all started when I decided to read the Lord's prayer in the Voice Version. The very first part of Jesus' prayer moved me so deeply that I decided to also look it up in other versions... WOW!

The Holy Spirit is revealing to me the secret to prayer. It's all about how we approach God, how we draw closer to His holiness as we step into prayer. This is how the different versions begin this beautiful prayer:

Our Father,

Your name is holy

We honor Your holy name

Let Your name remain holy

Sanctified be Your name

Reveal who You are. Set the world right

May the glory of Your name be the center on which our lives turn.

This is how Jesus responded when the disciples asked Him to teach them to pray! This is how we approach prayer. This is how we approach GOD!

I am in awe of God. I am motivated to pray the prayer of Matthew 6. I don't approach God with my fears, my doubts, my agenda. I approach Him in His HOLINESS! Hallelujah! Let's start at the beginning. Let's pray as Jesus prayed.
