Just a Piece of Paper - Jasmine's Journey of Healing

"God, there are thousands of promises I could pray over Jasmine today, but I want You to direct me to the Scripture that reflects what's on your heart for us today." As I prayed that prayer I opened up my Bible and found a small piece of paper that had "James 5:13-17" written on it. I don't remember who gave it to me or when, but God made sure it was the first thing my eyes fell on as I opened my Bible.

As I turned to that Scripture my heart filled with hope as He promised me again that He is a God Who heals.

"Is Jasmine sick? You should call the elders of your church and ask them to pray. They will gather around and anoint her with oil in the name of the Lord. Prayers offered in faith will restore her from sickness and bring her to health. The Lord will lift her up from the floor of despair; and if the sickness is due to sin, then God will forgive her sins"

I've written this out and I carry it with me. As I continue to pray it I am asking for the Holy Spirit to direct me. Which elders do I call? Where should we do this? When should it happen? Instead of grabbing the promise and running ahead of God (which is way too easy for me to do!) I am pressing into God's heart with the help of the Holy Spirit as I wait for direct instructions for the details of His will.

I want to be still with this Word from Him until I hear His heartbeat and feel His Word come alive in my heart through faith!

I work for a doctor's office and it's interesting to observe how people "wait" differently. Some people walk in the door already anxious, asking how long the appointment will take because they have so

How do we bring Scriptures to life within us? There are many beautiful ways to spend time with God through His Word. One of my favorite is to take Scriptures and confess them over my life. For examp
