A New Mantra – Jasmine’s Journey of Healing

This morning I entered the presence of God as I tuned out the world and listened to amazing worship songs through my headphones.  Every lyric and note lifted my heart closer to the heart of God.  There was one sentence, however, that began to transform my worship into a prayer:  “You reintroduce me to Your love” (Kari Jobe). The Holy Spirit led me to pray/worship that thought over Jasmine and a daughter of a friend of mine who is also dealing with chronic pain.  If I had the time to lock myself into my prayer room I would pray that thought over them all day.

What I feel prompted to do with the time I do have this morning is to blog a prayer for everyone of you who is suffering in some way.  I want to pray that today, right now, the Holy Spirit will fill your hearts and begin to reintroduce you to the God Whose love for you is vast, and beautiful, and complete.

But God with the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy is focused on you, is uniting you with the Anointed One and is infusing your lifeless souls with life.  (Ephesians 2:4)  May love be the rich soil where your lives take root… I pray that you will have the power to understand that the love of the Anointed is infinitely long, wide, high, and deep, surpassing everything  anyone previously experienced.  God, may Your fullness flood through their entire beings.  (Ephesians 3:17-19)

I am praying that as you read the Scripture prayer above that the Holy Spirit will bring God’s Word to life in you.  It’s His Words that reintroduce us to His love.  We forget.  When pain and suffering become our mantra we forget.  Forgetting how passionately God loves us causes us to lose hope in Him.  Please take time today and ask the Holy Spirit to breath the Word of God into your pain and brokenness.  Open your heart as He reintroduces you to Jesus.  May His love become your new mantra.

How do we bring Scriptures to life within us? There are many beautiful ways to spend time with God through His Word. One of my favorite is to take Scriptures and confess them over my life. For examp
